Hi guys,

I have an 8700g. I want to enable or add a Japanese/Chinese language on the handheld.

Any advise or software to add ?
Or should i use dekstop manager to enable other languages.

By default, it has an English language.

thanks.

Slygeek, you can go to CSL hong kong and download the software. Remove the .alx and more or less follow the instructions for Bharti.

Sorry for the simple explanation.

Hi...thanks for the reply. When visiting the Hong Kong CSL download page, I see that 'Chinese' is noted as the language. Is it unwritten that Japanese is supported?

Also, I noticed that there is a newer 'Chinese' download - named 'Starhub', it contains version 4.1.0.371. Jibi attaches attaches a related Starhub .alx (specifically for Starhub 4.1.0.371) to be used in this upgrade. Is Japanese also supported in this OS, even though there is no notation for Japanese?

If CSL is the preferred upgrade (containing version 4.1.0.290), where can the blackberry.alx specific to CSL be found ? Looking at the Bharti as you suggested, it contains OS 4.1.0.280.

Japanese is not yet supported. Only Chinese.

Japanese Kanji may be supported on the upcoming 8707v.

I think you can read Japanese, but cannot input Japanese.
