Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

The OS does not come on the CD. The only program on the CD is the desktop manager. You can download both the desktop manager and the OS from the cingular website. Or search the forum because I think there is a sticky that has all the download links listed. :)

You can download the Desktop Manager directly from the RIM Support web site.
The URL to download the handheld code from any vendor is in a Sticky Thread FAQ at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion forum.

Just a few days tinkering with it? :)

BB's are VERY addictive and probably should come with some kind of warning label! :) :)
