Hey guys I saw this come across the yahoo group, and want to try and help this guy out. Anyone have any ideas?
"We just upgraded to BES 4 on Lotus Notes, so I was
testing out making some policies. Because our policies
will include a special one for lost/stolen devices
which basically disables everything.
Here's my problem. My test 7250 was the recipient of
this test policy. The policiy applied and now an error
box appears on the screen saying:
"Please install the smart card library component.
Please contact your system administrator for
assistance."
To make it worse, I cannot make to go away, even
temporarily by clicking OK. Additionally, the antenna
is turned off, so I am unable to push down the default
policy to clear these settings, leaving this BB as a
nice paperweight.
Does anyone have any advise? I've tried reinstalling
the OS on it using the Desktop Manager, but the error
still trumps it all. Is there a way to upload a policy
to the device using the Desktop Manager or by using
the BlackBerry Admin tool on the BES?
