View Full Version : How do i load a rather large mp3 ringer onto the bb?

i have a rather large mp3 ringer...

i want to load it into the bb as my ring it worked on all my other devices OTA but when i try it from the web browser it says requested entity too large! how can i get this?

the browser you are using should be the wap browser.....so u can try using the blackberry browser or internet browser to load this link!!!

im using the blackberry browser i believe, how do i check? it sure as hell isnt tzones that i'm using.

keep in mind there are limits to the mp3 you can play. I just played it and it's 128kbs and it's 500kb. that's probably not gonna play on ur bberry as a ringtone.

Why do you want something that big as a ringtone? A ringtone to be effective should be limited to about 15 seconds, anything that big will not play, and remember your BB s not a MUltimedia player, so storing big MP3s like that would be senseless.

I manually resampled all my MP3 ringtones. First I trimmed them for the proper length, then I switched them from stereo to mono, then I re-encoded at a lower bitrate (64kbps mono is more than adequate). Anything bigger than 120 KB is probably too big.
