Sorry guys, I'm a newbie......I just want to know where the more logical choice is in purchasing the 8700. Would it be the 8700g from T-Mobile, or the 8700c from Cingular?

I plan to unlock the phone and use the service in Canada as I am currently with Fido. Will the push email and internet browser still work? Any help is greatly appreciated Also where would it be the cheapes to buy from Cingular or T-Mobile?

Thanks again!

As long as you unlock it either would be fine.

i just joined this forum and purchased my 8700g from TMO last night. i was doing my homework on this and found that TMO's cheaper. Cingular's BB plan is very expensive. Sorry i can't comment on the internet browser.

I plan to unlock it, but will i still be able to receive my email and internet capabilities if I plan to use FIDO?

I am using an unlocked 8700c on T mobiles network and every feature works just like it was a 8700g. Just long as you have the blackberry plan on your account it should work just fine....

So do you have to go with a carrier that carries blackberry's. Because I am planning to purchase the 8700g, unlock it and use it with Fido in Canada. However Fido does not carry blackberry's so I am not sure if the push email or internet would work, this is my biggest concern...

Fido does not offer BlackBerry e-mail and Internet services.
