Hi, just wanted to have some inputs if possible.
Received my BB 8700g 2 days ago. While everything else is great i find the whole keypad "move slightly" if gently nudged or while quick typing.

Is this normal ?

Under the outer casing the keypad is a single sheet of plastic so it's understandable for it to have a small amount of 'slack'. Can't say I've ever found it to be a problem.

I recall that the 8700c keyboard had no slack at all and was considered too stiff. So I think they added a little "give" into the 8700g keyboard. Mine does the same thing.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Mine is the same way. If I lightly place a finger on the keyboard it will move about a 1/4 inch. But while typing it stays put.

My first 8700 was very tight. The newer one that cing. sent me has the slight "play" described here. It is meant to be an improvement. I can't tell much difference while typing.

it's normal!
I have it...I hardly notice it under the stunning screen!
