Whenever I press 1, it brings up a browser. Anyone know how to remove the shortcut that the number 1 is associated with? Because I wanted to press 1 to dial voicemail.
Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)
Go to phone, then options, then general options and make sure that 'dial from home screen' is set to yes
It must be set to no because it is using W for wap

Make sure you just lightly press (tap) the 1/w for Voice Mail. Pressing and holding it will bring up the WAP Browser.

Uh...don't you mean the other way around?
Lightly press for Wap browser...hold for VM...

Oops - you are absolutely right. Press lightly for the shortcut (B/Browser; W/Wap; A/Address Book)
Press and hold for Speed Dial.
Thanks for the correction.

LOL. You must have had a nice long night last night to make this mistake.

Nah - it was a simple, honest mistake.
No nice, long nights for me. Too old for that :-(

Thank you very much for the explanation. I never noticed this long vs short press. Now it works.
Is there a way to edit/change it so that the short press of 1/w brings up the BB internet browser rather than carrier browser? For some reason, my carrier browser opens up a mess file structure and I don't know how to change that.

Sorry. Found it. I was able to change that home page from Option.
