I am using a BB 7105t on T-Mo with 4.1.0.309, platform 1.8.0.146, and DM version 4.1.1.9, and for the life of me cannot figure out why I have not been able to connect to mobile.blackberry.com from my BB browser for the past 2 days. I have done the following and nothing seems to work:

1) pulled the battery
2) re-registered on the network
3) resent service books
4) soft reset
5) turning wireless off/on
6) turning BT off/on
7) searched 2 forums (found out I'm not the only one having this problem)

HOWEVER, I got a push weather message this morning and was only able to get to mobile.blackberry.com by clicking on the Home page link in the bottom corner of this message. Tried it several times after that, from the BB browser, and no success. I am not on a BES either. This is a personal BB.

This is what I get when I try to access the site from the BB Browser: "HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway: The gateway received an invalid response from the server when attempting to fulfill your request. Please try loading a different page. Contact your service provider if the problem persists."

I am able to browse to any other site and it works perfectly. I even tried it with Opera Mini and it couldn't open the page.

My last resort is to pull the sim card out of my 7105t and put it in my 7100t and repeat the process. But before I do that, is there anything else I can do??

Update. I took the SIM out of the 7105t, put it in the 7100t, and got the same error message as before. Any ideas?

Make sure you are using the internet browser, not the WAP Browser. Are you using Go TO Link, or the Blackberry link in your bookmarks?

Hope this helps.

I have done the following:

1) used the Go To Link
2) used the BB Home Page link in my bookmarks
3) typed it in myself

Still nothing.

You should be able to go to http://mobile.blackberry.com on your BB Browser without being on a BES. I'm on a BIS and still no go.

I can get to http://mobile.blackberry.com
But I have the same wierdness with other sites.
http://downloadfun.wap.t-mobile.com
http://bwc.t-mobile.com
"Unable to open a POP context to the following APN
wap.voicestream.com
This may be happening because the currently selected Browser configuration is not compatible with the current network."

If I try to use Opera I get.
"You do not have a working network connection. Please visit http://help.opera.com/mini/ with your desktop browser for instructions. (error 3.1.10:80/)

I can surf most websites in the blackberry browser though.

I have had this problem ever since I upgraded to 4.1.0.309

BTW

Using 7105t on T-mobile with the latest O/S. Not running on a BES. I have the BIS service.

My next step is a java wipe to see if this will help.

I don't even have that in my bookmarks. It worked and I'm adding it back to my favorites. Thanks.

For everyone having problems with http://mobile.blackberry.com here is what I had to do:

Put the following link in your browser and then after the homepage comes up, SAVE IT to your "BlackBerry Bookmarks" folder

http://www.blackberry.com/mobile/help/default/

That link has to be in the Bookmarks list or it will not work.

Thanks RC

You sure? Works for me without that bookmark. Maybe a conincidence you got it working at the same time you added the bookmark?

It didn't work because that link was missing from the bookmarks. I'd been trying to access the site for 2 days before I found out the problem. I added it back and it has been working since.

I've just been bothering T-Mobile about this and got confirmation that they are changing their browser to correct it.

From their email:

"I have spoken to our Blackberry support team and they have informed me that we are working on a new browser called BIZ 2 which will allow you to access the blackberry support sites on your device. This new browser will be ready and due for launch within the next couple of months. Once this has been launched we will be contacting all of our Blackberry customers to advise on how to upgrade their device to receive the new browser."

The BlackBerry HELP! site is accessible via the BlackBerry browser (BES) or the Internet Browser (BIS) on a BlackBerry device. The site will not work the the WAP Browser on a BlackBerry device.
