On a 7100i how do you go about formatting the hard drive so you can reboot from your comp with a clean slate?

You know, NJ, the hard drive where you store your files. I thought you knew better, oh great Super Mod.

Oh. That hard drive.

Use the FDISK command from a DOS prompt on your BB.

Don't forget to make sure all your folders are empty first......

Sorry tpsstudent, I couldn't resist. There is no hard drive on a Blackberry. What exactly are you trying to do?

I want to reset all the settings on the blackberry and start with nothing in the memory. Is that possible to do or do I have to take it in to a store to get that done?

You can perform a 'wipe' on it by going into Options -> Security Options -> General Settings. From there click the wheel and click 'Wipe Handheld'.

This will remove all the DATA on the device, and make it pretty much as if you just took it out of the box.
