This might be a silly question but here it goes. Why some apps don't work with ceartain themes. I would love to use Ramble with the theam that i have, but they just don't work together. Is there any way to fix that?

what doesn't work about it?, you can't find the icon for it?, what theme do you have?

i could be way off on this one, but i know on my 7290 when i change themes, everything kinda reverts back to default i.e: i have to re-hide all my apps and they end up getting rearranged. so make sure your theme isn't somehow changing your permissions for ramble. (again, i'm probably totally wrong, i'm still a new bb user)

True. When I've changed themes before I've had to do the same thing because the icons became rearranged as well.

I'm unclear as to what isn't working on ramble for the user when the theme was changed. Could you please give is further details?

Who is your service provider? I tried ramble and had some issues with it myself and that was before I even knew about themes. So it could very well be that ramble just doesn't like your theme, or your BB. The reason I ask about your service provider is because I have the instant messenger service from the tmobile website and I find it to be far superior to ramble. So if you have tmobile ill post a link for you, if not check your carriers site to see if they have a messenger program that works with your BB.

I have T-Mobile and I use the IM client. Yet, I'm not receiving responses from my buddies on my list. They receive my responses. But I don't receive their responses I'm not sure why that is happening. When I sign in to msn on it, I have no problems.

Well this is what happens to me. I am with Nextel. When i load a new theme with the desktop manager, i get a message saing unknown module, Ramble will be unistalled. so it unistalles it, then installas the theme. also, when i install eMS, it does the same thing, unistalls Ramble, and itstalls eMSN

Its because your BB doesn't like ramble. It doesn't recognize it as an authorized/compatable program and it will continue to uninstall it every time you use your desktop manager. I would suggest a different IM app. Check with nextel's website and see if they offer one

$10 a month?!? EFF that! i say switch to t-mobile. you get IMs for free...it uses the blackberry data plan and saves you those precious text messages

Yeah, I was talking about the app too. I paid nothing for it, just a quick download.

When loading applications you want to keep on the BB through Desktop Manager, make sure there is a check mark next to the application you want to have on the BB. That's why it's being deleted and you have to reinstall the application.

When I had ramble, DM would try to delete it whether it was checked or not
