I keep getting DUN error 678 when using Sprint Connection Manager. Any thoughts? Should I just skip using Sprint connection manager and go the long way just using DUN?

Update: I called into Sprint BB support, and they told me that I needed the Phone-As-Modem option on my account. I double-checked that this was not the pay option required to tether regular phones, and the gentleman assured me that PAM was free for BlackBerry customers.

sprint will let you get by if you have PAM basic service. but they will only troubleshoot if you have a PAM plan, which runs about $40, on top of your blackberry plan

Yeah, I didn't want to add the extra $40 plan since I was told it was included with BB Unlimited. That fact is actually what sold me on dropping my T-M BlackBerry service and going back to a converged device.

FYI Verizon's is $15/mo. on top of the data plan.

Well, that is exactly why I don't have VZW. :)

Sprint allows it for free if you have BB Unlimited, you just have to make sure you get PAM provisioned.

You don't need the PAM plan if you have the unlimited BB plan. Did you call the Wireless Web support line instead of Sprint's care line.

Understood, but there is a line-item they have to put on the account so I get a PAM username provisioned. I spoke with BB support.

So you can confirm that it comes with the Blackberry Unlimited plan? I would prefer to sign up with Sprint instead of VZW because I am a current Nextel subscriber, so no early termination fees apply....

Yes, I can confirm that it is included at no extra charge, and works wonderfully.
