Other than switching browser emulations in Options, are there any
alternate browsers worth trying, e.g. for stocks. Yes I did IE Emulator.

You could always try opera mini. It's a bit different but works.
http://mini.opera.com in the bb browser or on your computer to learn more.

I've heard bad reviews on this forum about Opera Mini.

Most of the time it works but there are some annoying quirks with it.

If you can get used to it's quirks, it's not half bad. The bb browser is still better. The opera mini browser might work better in gprs areas though. That thing flew on my non-edge k750 compared to it's own browser.

I've heard good things about Minuet - available on Handango for $20 I think. No personal experience and the developers don't recommend it for secure transactions at this time.

Minuet V3.0 is now available and it has full support for HTTPS, including 128-bit strong encryption. (*The security features are based on the device and may vary across models and service providers. Minuet does allow you to inspect the security information about the connection before making a transaction.)

At first I didn't like the opera browse but I'm getting used to it. It's a litte annoying because it doesn't have all the regular BB controls. But it gives you an option when you come upon sites you can't access with BB browser. Such as the Tmo site. And others.
And best part it's free.
