Cingular Warranty, but same PIN?

Is it possible to get a warranty excahnge with the same pin? I don't mind waiting for RIM and Cingular to work together on that, but yeah. I'd really like to keep the same pin, but I've got to get a BB that will let me type the letter L, along wit ha few other letters that work when they want to. no water damage, been dropped twice, but on carpet, once off my leg onto a tile floor, that I was sitting on.

New PIN, no way around it unfortunately =(

Youre going to get a new device through XBM and that device will have its own unique PIN.

I thought I've read where Cing and RIM have worked to get you a new device with a new pin.

You can send your handheld to RIM and for $190 they will repair it. However, it's about a 2-3 week turnaround. That should guarantee you keeping your PIN, unless you've fried the device and it won't even boot.

But it probably would be a bigger hassle to have no BB for a while than a new BB and having to let folks know about a new PIN.
