not receiving encrpyted emails

I have a user how is unable to receive encrypted emails on his blackberry. They appear in his inbox but not on his handheld. Any ideas what is causing this?

What version of BES? What version of Exchange, Domino, or GroupWise are you using.

We are running BES 4.0.3.5 and Domino 7.0.

The Domino BES doesn't support encryption until DBES 4.1. You must be running Domino v7 and the user must be running 4.1 hh code
