Instant Messaging?

Ok someone explain the benifit and the how on setting up instant messaging on my ATT&T BB 7280 please. I have a bes hosting service now but I only use it for my work email. What would other people have to have in order to instant message me?

Also I have found that the blackberry browser is much slower than the aws internet browser, is something set up wrong?

Man I thought I knew alot about Palms and electronic gadgets until I bought this think, I am lost half the time!

Check out Webmessenger in the downloads section of this site, its under the internet and network category.


That will allow you to use msn etc. on your blackberry using MDS/BES

Welcome to Blackberry ;) I'm the same way, still lost from time to time. Just get the WebMessenger, free to try for 30 days. Use your exsisting AIM, MSN, ICQ, and/or Yahoo! accounts names, if you don't have any, get one made up on the respectful sites. Then they just message those names, depending if you use AIm, MSN etc etc.

Also you may find it easier to download the web client to help make buddy lists as webmessenger uses it's own.

Does anyone know what the software is the RIM is using for IM on the 7100T? Any idea if it is possible for the rest of us to get?
