Hi people.....

I have a 8700, which has version 4.0, which was recently upgraded to v4.1.0..........

However, since this my phone does not work with my bluetooth car kit......

How do i rollback to the older version of the operating software??

Thanks in advance.....

Read the "BlackBerryOS 4.x Download FAQ". The instructions are within the first post of that thread.

I believe that the 8700 only runs with 4.1...
I could be convinced otherwise (but I know I'm right)...

It came with 4.1. No way to downgrade it to 4.0.

I just downgraded my 8700C. Had the 8707 Vodaphone phone OS on mine, had problems getting WAP\APN settings to work. Could not get Yak-on nor BB Today to work. So downgraded to the Cingular OS, and yes it is 4.1.0194. Was not hard to do at all. Now my WAP\APN apps work great again.

Yes, it is very easy to downgrade a phone. But the OP wanted to go back to version 4.0, and there is no 4.0 for the 8700 so the point is moot.

This is interesting. I have had problems with my WAP browser since going Telstra (specifically trying to surf this site). It sometimes crashes my 8700 and I have to do a battery pull. I rarely use the WAP browser so I'm not too concerned but I didn't have that problem before.
PocketDay and other third party apps are fine but they're not communicating on WAP.
