New phone, backing up the old phone, etc..

Hey everyone. T-Mobile is sending me a replacement 8700. My question is this, when I do a backup of my old phone, can I load that backup onto my new phone and have everything back onto it including my ringtones, games, the Telestra OS, and the today theme's? Or will I have to do all that over again?

The operating system is not backed up, but everything else is.

Backup the old 8700 using Desktop Manager/Backup.
I do it twice :-)

Get the new phone. Upgrade the OS to Telstra.

Restore the data from the old phone.

If you have an application that doesn't back up the data, you will have to reenter it. Some over the air applications will need to be reloaded.
