I have a 7290 running 4.0 OS. When I go to various web sites that require a login, how do i save this information so that I don't have to type it in each time I visit the same web site?
Thanks for your help.
password keeper, i believe.

I tried that. It's just a vault to keep your passwords secure. It doesn't automatically place the passwords into a web site upon login.
ahh. then i doubt you can do what you're wanting.

I thought the ability to "remember" passwords was a basic function of a web browser.

The browser will remember passwords (for example totalfark) but Only for the life of that browser. Since the app is kept in memory so is the password - kill the app - re-enter password.

I thought there is a memory cache were these could be stored for future use?

Use FireFox or Opera; both have password storage.
More than that, they're good for you (secure and safe)!!
