View Full Version : Is this problem unique to BIS 2.0?

I just banged up against something I had never noticed before. I would appreciate it if someone on BIS 1.8 could try this and let me know if this is a new problem with BIS 2.0.

I received an email (simple text, no attachment). I repled to it. I then tried to forward my reply to someone else. I got a red X for failure beside my Reply and the Message Status when I opened it was "Unlisted message error".

I have now tested this on all three of my BIS 2.0 accounts (Blackberry.net, Yahoo, and Sympatico which is POP3). In each case I cannot forward my replies on my Blackberry.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry everyone. I must have completely zoned out when I put this thread here. I meant to post in the General forum.

Actually I think that vibrating is a 'sending error' message. I got it too.
Are you on BIS 1.8 or 2.0?

I just tested it again. I have vibration plus sonar on message receive. When my forward failed, I got the vibration plus sonar notification. So that is a kind of message receive, the message being 'your attempt to send the email failed'.
I still wonder if this is the same for BIS 1.8?

Coop,
Well, if it still curious, I just tried this on BIS 1.8 and it works perfect. Sent a reply to a message I had sent to my BB from my Work account (Not connected in anyway to my BB), Replied to it, then forwarded the reply to an account that is forwarded to my BIS 1.8 account and got the forwarded message in about 5 secs. Now this is on Cingular BIS 1.8 so don't know if yours is related to 2.0 in general or just Rogers implementation. And you might want to ask a mod to move this thread.

Hope this helps
Rcbjr.

it's a 2.0 known issue.

Ignore the fact the KB says T-Mobile (it only does since T-Mobile went to the new system way before anyone else)

I think I found a solution, I have tried itand it's working for me.
Go to service books and delete the web client service book.
You really dont use it anymore after upgrading to BIS 2.0
Try it and let us know how it goes.

My Web Client Service Book has long been deleted so that solution doesn't work for me.
BERDucky, thanks for the link! Their BCC solution stinks. I have a filter specifically to prevent my BCC from bouncing back to my Blackberry. They offer another solution which isn't ideal but works. I can forward it by changing the account I send on. Not great for forwarding work emails because I swithched to BIS 2.0 specifically to solve the whole From address issue.
I hope that they solve this...
