Hi
I switched provider from nextel to cingular . I now have an 8700C.
Both were set up for use with my company with the exchange server.

With nextel i was able to use opera and verichat. Now with cingular i am not - i can only get mail and use my default browser which goes through my corporate proxy and asks me my proxy user name and pwd each time. I read somewhere that nextel service consists of BES and MDS where as cingular only lets you do one or the other - is this correct?

How do i get opera and verichat to work on my 8700C when it is set up for BES?

Have you tried setting up your TCP settings for Cingular. From the looks of it since you only have your comapnies browser, your phone has not been completely provisioned yet. Call Cingular and get them to send you some Service Books.

Nope -- these are options for all Blackberries, regardless of carrier.

I'm on Cingular, on a BES and able to use both Opera and Verichat without any specific settings. Do you have the option to save the user name and password when connecting via the proxy server?
