My boss just received a 7130e. He says he can't back up in a message without deleting everything previous. Is there a suretype FAQ with suretype tips and tricks?

Same as every other BB; press the ALT key (lower left hand corner) and scroll the wheel to back up.

If the suretype models are like the previous models, point the user towards the manual that came with the unit.

Other than that, try Stinsonddog's tips document. The URL is in his signature line.

SureType is very similar in behaviour to the Texas Instruments T-9 keypad. It is designed to 'learn' your own customized word list over time. The first 2 days of using it for me was time consuming, however, by day 3, I was typing as fast, if not faster, than many of my colleagues at work who opted for the 7250 for the QWERTY keyboard. Three have already traded up to the 7130e within a week of purchasing the 7250. It's just a game of patience. The manual helps understand the technology, but in the end, it's all about practice making perfect - or at least near-perfect.

It's mostly the fact that he is the non-technical type but the boss just the same. So if I can make it easier for him he can make it easier for me...
