BB Desktop alternative?

Does anyone know if there is an BB Desktop alternative kinda like Palm Desktop for the Blackberry. I know about Outlook but really dont like it. Thanks in adavance.

Not to my knowledge. Did you SEARCH for BB apps? Might find something there.

RIM does not provide a program like Palm does for their devices. To my knowledge, there are no 3-party programs either.

Sure - it's called Desktop Manager - it comes on the CD with your device.

Most people use Outlook and keep their addresses, notes, tasks and calendar in there. There are some other PIMs, but there is no BlackBerry version of Palm Desktop.

I think there after a PIM desktop app. There are a few systems that will sync through blackberry desktop (the bb equivelent of hotsync, dont be confused by the name its nothing like palm desktop) Most commonly is ms outlook or lotus notes or act! all of which cost unfortunatly.

RIM definitely need to release a better PIM. I don't have Outlook, and something like Palms client would be perfectly sufficient. Its not all that complex, I'm sure they could whip it up pretty quickly.

The Java Loader is another option to look into maybe at A later time , but has limited abilities.
