Woo Hoo... Just got my SIM unlock code for my 8700c from Cingular. It was a very simple process. We have a corporate account and I just told the customer service rep the truth... I was going out of the country and needed an unlock code for my other SIM card and he gave it to me ONLINE. No questions asked.

Nice! I received my Blackberry device subsidy code with an hour of the request. Another request for a Motorola phone made weeks ago has yet to be sent to me. Another vote of confidence for Cingular and BlackBerry devices...

I was very surprised at the service I received after hearing challenging times from others.

Hello, welcome to BB Forums.

There is a dedicated Mac Users Corner forum on here where there are experts who can help you. It would be best if you were to post your question there (as opposed to in a thread about someone getting a BB unlocked).

Good luck.

I just upgraded to Bharti OS since that call to Cingular for the unlock. I have not used the unlock code yet because I don't have access to T-Mobile SIM card to do it. When I upgraded to the new OS, does this affect the unlock process at all?

No - update the OS all you want - it will not affect the unlock.
