I did not search the forum first to see if anyone has suggested this. If they have, then here it is again.

A free program that checks your hotmail account at user defined intervals and can forward it to any other email address. In my case, i forward it to my exchange address, which causes BES to see it and it sends it onto my BB. I have seen several people ask how to send hotmail to their BB and here is a free and simple way to do it. Only downside i can see so far is that the pc running the freeware must be turned on 24x7.

I use hotmail. I set it up through my bis acct and it goes to my bb. no need for any other freeware program.

Do you have a premium hotmail account though?

I did upgrade to hotmail plus when I was on BIS 1.8. Now that I am on BIS 2.0 my plus and free hotmail acct's work with the berry.

That's interesting I thought you needed hotmail plus to download e-mails through pop.

I have a regular Hotmail acct (old one with the large storage), but it wont give me the POP settings so I can add it to BIS

I didn't use any POP settings with my BIS polling. I just logged into my BIS and added the email address and my password and it polls it about every fifteen minutes and then sends me my emails.

I have tried this about a billion times and it never works for me and I have had hotmail since the 90"s.

The reason is that some carriers have opted in for the option to integrate Hotmail accounts. If they don't have it, you won't be able to integrate it unless you have POP access. For example, T-Mobile doesn't have it so you will have problems integrating on a T-Mobile BIS account. I'm not sure whether this changed when they went to 2.0.
