8700 system font size

[BB-8700G]

I would like to change the size of the font in the list of emails.

Through Status> Screen/Keyboard> I have successfully changed the size of the font for displaying an email, but it doesn't affect the system fonts - like when I click on Messages, emails, or call log to view the list.

Can the size be affected? If so, how.

What theme are you using? Third-party themes made with the Plazmic software cannot have their font sizes adjusted. It's a serious limitation of the design software.

I use Zen and my chosen font (BBCasual 10 Bold) appears in all lists and menus.

Yeah, well that's why I said Third-party themes made with the Plazmic software. That doesn't apply to Zen.

Is there an easy way to determine if a theme is third party (made with Plazmic software) or not?

Also, on the subject of fonts, is it possible to install new, different fonts? The smallest point size of all the fonts for the new 8700g that I have is 7pt. I would like to get a smaller point size, as my eyes are good! :-)

So I like the BBClarity font but wanted something smaller than size 7. Well through messing around I found a way to get a font size smaller than 7, I think it looks like a 6.

Steps:

1. Start w/ the clarity font and size 7
2. Change your current font to BBsystem, size 10 is the only option I believe
3. Save
4. Now change your font back to clarity and save, do not change the font size

You'll now see that the font is smaller than 7. Enjoy.

epark21, that was EXACTLY what I hoped to find here -- thank you so much.

I actually must have stumbled upon this trick accidentally when I first ran my BB a few days ago. Then I changed the theme, lost the font setting, and was going insane tonight trying to figure out how I originally got Clarity to be smaller. Now I know what I did!!

I registered just to say thank you (although now that I'm here, I'm sure I will find other things to post & ask about :))
