Greetings,

I answered 'yes' to the "Upgrade to BlackBerry Internet Service!" when I last logged onto my web service account. Now I have a problem. On my old account, there was a prompt:

"Reply-to address - By default whenever someone replies to a message sent from your account, the reply will be sent to this address."

for this I had my corporate email address: me@<hidden>

After the upgrade I still have a "Reply To:" and it is still set to me@<hidden>. But now I can't send email from my phone to anyone in the 'mycompany.com' domain. The reason? Here's a log from my email server:

Accepting SMTP connection from [216.9.248.48 : 27099]
Performing PTR lookup (48.248.9.216.IN-ADDR.ARPA)
* D=48.248.9.216.IN-ADDR.ARPA TTL=(6) PTR=[smtp01.bis.na.blackberry.com]

Tue 2006-07-18 13:05:38: --> 550 Sorry, <me@<hidden>> is not allowed access from your location

As you can see, for security reasons my email server will not allow the RIM server to pose as the mycompany.com and will not except email. With the old blackberry web service, the RIM server correctly identified the sender as me@<hidden>, with a reply to address of me@<hidden>.

Has anyone else ran into this and how did you work around it?

Thanks,
--bill

This is what I have done for the company I work for...We started getting the problems in Aug until now (Oct)...also Bell Canada is no help at all.

Because of the upgrade from BIS 1.8 to 2.0...they didnt merge the version right...so any email created with version 1.8 will get those problems using version 2.0.

You need to create a new email...if you delete the current blackberry email address...it will not be deleted until 30 days from the RIM servers.

Example:

[email address] < thats for Bell Canada Users

Change it to:

[email address]

Just doing that it works...if any provider tells you that its a spam filter or your service book on the handheld is out of date...HANG UP THE PHONE...

Just making that small change...EVERYTHING is back to normal...
