I cannot use the BES at work (not a high enough exec.!) So can I get my Outlook emails through BIS?

If you have POP3 access? If not you may have to setup a re-direct rule in Outlook to forward a copy to your you@<hidden> addy. Be warned as the latter of the two is a security hole by some admins and could get you in trouble.

How do I know if I have POP3 access?

Have Outlook Web Access? I think that BIS 2.0 can be setup with those.. not sure though. If not - you can just set a forwarding rule in OWA.. but beware of the previous comments - it is a security breach.

YOu can set up your Exchange account us:

1) OWA - FYI, OWA 2003 is only supported for BIS 2.0
2) mail connector - computer always needs to be on and connected
3) redirector - ditto; also you don't get attachments this way
4) using POP/IMAP access - your IT will need to enable this
5) forwarding rule
6) BES express - free for 1 user; you pay for extra ppl to add
