SureType is smarter than a regular cell phone's 'word' typing. It incorporates the words you send/receive in emails into a Custom Wordlist so it will have those words available to you later. The more you use it, the smarter it becomes.

I've even taught mine a few cuss words ;-)

I switched from an LG8100 to the 7130e and have found that SureType is much better to use than standard T9 on a basic cell phone. The 7130e is quick to pick up on words I use frequently and also recognized names I am typing from my address book. I think you'll find it much better than T9.

Maintain your Custom Wordlist periodically for best result.

Aside from having better "learning" technology than T9, just the fact that there are 2 letter choices per key as opposed to 3 gives you a much higher chance of success.

I've learned to add shortcuts for hey (HH) and get (EE), and other words it can't get right. It works well for me.

Nice - I didn't think about that!

For some reason I am having to "enable" sure type when I am typing messages now. It did not used to default to the multitap. Is there a setting that will enable Sure Type all the time?
