Morning Chaps – sorry, I didn’t know which section to post this in so I thought I’d chuck it in here in the main section….and hope for some help!!!????

OK – if you open Contacts (address book) on an 8700 (BES) – click the trackwheel once then scroll to New Address, scroll to the bottom and you will see User1, User2, User3, User4 – can anyone tell me the following:-

• Are these editable fields
• If they are do you edit them at the BES or in Exchange
• Are they/can you make them searchable fields
• Does anyone have comprehensive destructions how to achieve the above – would appreciate something that was idiot-proof, step by step destructions so that we don’t have to second guess how to do this….

Why….?? We have a client that would benefit from being able to change these fields and then make any data that they store against them (on the right hand side of that screen) searchable items.

Thanks

Mikey

Personally, I use Outlook's User1 field to save PIN numbers, and map it to the PIN field on the Blackberry.

By default, it doesn't appear that the BB User fields are mapped to anything.
