I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but...

I'm looking at downloading BBToday OTA. Most of the features it has seem kinda cool and from searching around the forums, many people love this app.

The question I have is directly related to items such as local weather (or stock quotes if you use that). Primarily, how much bandwidth does this suck up from your monthly package to have this up-to-the-minute weather report?

Or, does it get the info when you first start your bb in the morning then you need to refresh?

I'm just hoping to keep my data used under control without any surprises on my bill. Anyone using this app that can shed a little light on this feature (and how it affects your data usage?) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you talking about pocket day? if so you can download it at handango. it does not use a tremendous amount of bandwidth but i do NOT suggest using a blackberry without the unlimited data package. If you get any decent amount of e-mails on a dy to day basis your data usage will be up there. Also in the future you may want to post these sort of questions in the genral questions forum....

I only know it as BB Today. For the package I'll have I'm not too concerned about my emails as I don't do any surfing with my bb, (currently I have another month of free unlimited so I'm trying to load a few apps that may be useful).
It's when that unlimited expires is what I'm worried about with regards to the weather portion of the application. Perhaps that feature can be disabled unless I absolutely need the info and am willing to pay the price?
And sorry about not posting in the correct area. (isn't this the General 8700 Series Discussions?)

It is it's just most of the time people post 8700 specific questions, and as far as the weather portio goes mine updates in the morning and i believe again in the afternoon but i am not sure if you can turn it off all together, i am sure someone else will comment on the subject, give it a couple of hours...

BBToday (free) and PocketDay (not free but worth the price) are definitely different apps. Try doing a search on BBToday. I know that there are threads here that provide information.
