I just got my phone yesterday and i couldn't turn it on. I called nextel and told them and they said that the software was prob not installed but i wasn't home. I checked today when i connected the phone to the computer it says that no software is installed how do i install it.

Are you saying that you can't turn the BB on? Does the BB show anything at all?

To install software on the BB, you need to install both the Desktop Manager, which came on the CD with the BB, and the Handheld OS for the 7100i.

Check here - http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/1871-blackberryos-4-x-download-faq-upgrade-downloads.html - for the download site and installation instructions.

Good luck and welcome.

It won't turn on is not a sign of missing software. Dead battery or dead BB perhaps. But even with missing or faulty software, it will turn on.

OK - try and reload the OS.
