BES 4.1 Groupwise 7 SP1 - cannot sync system address book

Installed Soft:
Windows 2000 Server
MSDE SQL
BES 4.1 for Groupwise
Groupwise 7 SP1 (on another Server)

GWSystemAddressBookSync.exe wont sync, when started by hand the following error is given:


[34416] (11:24:57):{0x0714} Exception reading base attributes=Usrname;System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80020009): Index außerhalb des Bereichs at System.RuntimeType.ForwardCallToInvokeMember(String memberName, BindingFlags flags, Object target, Int32[] aWrapperTypes, MessageData& msgData) at GroupwareTypeLibrary.DIGWFields.Item(Object Key, Object FldType) at GWSystemAddressBookSync.GWUser.DoWork()


Index außerhalb des Bereichs = Index out of range

This error prevents me from adding users to the BES, anyone ever saw that?
The search engines of my choice didnt bring up anything useful.

What version of GroupWise client is installed on to the BES?

I tried either:
Groupwise 7 Client SP1
Groupwise 7 Client (without service pack)

Install GroupWise 6.5.6 Update 1

Also make sure the admin user has a valid mailbox

In the minimum patch list at novell i only found 6.5.6, without the update 1, ill look some further, but if you have a link handy... ;)

ok, I installed GroupWise 6.5 Post SP6 Client rev 3 Mult and the problem is solved!
