Hey there,

So, after an awful expereince with a Treo 650, a plea for a Blackberry resulted in my old 7280 being sent back to me. It's nice to have it back, but it's seen a lot of action and I'd like to upgrade.

Are there dramatic differences between the 7100g and 7780? I realize the key areas are form factor, SureType etc, but are there advantages to a 7100g OS over the one on the 7780?

I'm not looking for subjective recommendations, but technical ones....what are the advantages of one over another?

Thanks!
Grant

They're night and day:

The 7100g has a superior screen, 64MB, auto backlit, BT and will run OS 4.1. You can compare here: BlackBerry (http://www.blackberry.com/compare/compare.do?handhelds=202&handhelds=61&method=getFeatureView&x=43&y=7)

What network are you on? If Cingular, then don't get the 7100g, go for the 7130c! The 7100g has a screen that's really hard to read in sunlight.
