View Full Version : E-mails to BB bouncing-Invalid Recipient

E-mails to my BB address are bouncing with the following error

original message was received at Fri, 4 Aug 2006 16:46:09 GMT
from mx08.bis.na.blackberry.com [172.20.90.23]

<XXXXXX@<hidden>>
(reason: 554 5.7.1 Invalid Recipient)

I have resent service book from BIS and did the battery trick.

Any ideas?

is that adress set up on your BIS account? or did you change your BIS address to something else

The only account that shows in BIS is my gmail address. I don't remember having to setup the XXX@<hidden> address in ver1.8

BIS v1.8 required to set up a bb email address.

I have not changed my BB address since I first set it up.
Last night I changed Gmail address from being fowarded, to being pushed with the new 2.1.
My gmail account is being pushed to the BB fine, but mail addressed to the XXX@<hidden> address is not working.

In the BIS should my XXX@<hidden> address show in the "E-mail Accounts" ?

yes - if that address is not present that's why your getting the bounc backs
sign into Gmail and disable your old forwarding rule :)

this will stop these bounce backs

I had already disabled my old forwarding rule in gmail. Some how my @<hidden> address was deleted form the BIS.

I attempted to setup my BB address earlier today in BIS, but got error message that it was already in use, like I didn't already know that.
I tried it again later this afternoon and was able to get XXX@<hidden> address added to BIS. I now have my gmail address and BB address showing in "E-Mail Accounts" and both appear to be working fine now.
