View Full Version : No Enterprise Activation App

I do not seem to have the Enterprise Activation application on my 7100. I have v4.1.0.309 installed. I am trying to get activated with my corporate BES.

Any help is much appreciated!!!

Two simple checks - try to see if it was hidden. Also try a hard reset (pull the battery).

How can I see if an app is hidden?

Not hidden and I pulled out the battery, but I still don't have an Enterprise Activation link.

Have you checked under Options (or Options->Advanced Options)? Enterprise Activation should be located there as well.

Do you have the full BES plan active on the account?

Is this a brand new BB or a used one? Once you activate a BB on a BES that icon disappears until you do a wipe on it.

It can still be found in the Options, even though it is gone from the home screen.

Option94 is probably right. Seen it happend several times, we get new BB's in and they were put on the BIS plan instead of the BES plan. Even if you try to activate it through options, it will not setup your corporate email account. Better check with your provider.

Different issue; the poster can not locate the icon. You are talking about getting the icon to work properly. It should *always* be there. Even if it is not functional.

Actually, I found out last week that (on T-Mobile) if your phone is not provisioned for Enterprise-level data service, the service books turn off Enterprise Activation when you reboot your phone (it'll be there immediately after the reboot but as soon as the phone registers it goes bye-bye, even from the Options menu.)

We contacted T-Mobile, told them the provisioning was probably broken -- a tech verified that was the case, reprovisioned the phone and bingo, the icon came back.

The phone in question was a 7230, but it was running the latest v4 code.
