Security settings seem to be locked HELP

I received my Blackberry 7250 from verizon, and it seems that the password comes on after 2 minutes of being idle. Wen i tried to change this setting, or deactivate the password totally, it wont let me. Does anyone know what I can do about this, or had this problem as well.

Are you on a BES? Try going into options -> security options -> general settings -> under password make sure that's set to disable.

sounds like there's an IT policy on your BB to cause this - for security of course in case it's lost/ stolen ;)

if your not on a BES - or if you are and your company doesn't have an IT policy in place i'd have Verizon change it for you

to find if you have an it policy go under options -> security options -> general settings

if the words "IT Policy Name" are listed you've got an IT policy on your handheld
