Hi all.
I have the 8707V with vodaphone on BIS. My data plan at the moment is set to 50meg with Vodaphone.
I travel quite a lot to China and Hong Kong and want to use my BB there.
Just need some general info and help from you guys really.
1. Will the BB work on BIS in HK and China?
2. Will I have to change any settings.. i.e. I always got emal on my laptop in China and HK but had a mare sending mail because of the SMTP server.. Will this happen with the BB?
3. I've now unlocked my BB and really would like to use a local sim card in both HK and China.. How would this affect my email?
4. I read on this forum somewhere that to get the lowest cost within China and HK, I would need an unlimted data plan and an unlocked BB, this way, local calls with asia are cheap and emails would still arrive on the BB.. I talked with Vodaphone today and they advise they do not do an unlimted data plan for the BB.. only the 3g data card. Any ideas ??
