Google Maps 8700 Cingular HELP

Ok I have read the list on here about Google Maps and Cingular. Namely the APN and the WAP network. Here is what I have done

Installed MGM
Confirmed with Cingular that APN was allowed and set up corectly
Input the Proxy settings listed for cingular on the mgm web page.

I still can see no maps. Program runs fine just get message that says "Error Searching" when I try a search. And a screen that says "Map titles not available, please zoom out or check your connection settings" No matter how far I zoom out nothing. What am I missing?

i had some problems with google maps like that as well. It worked fine for a while, but then all of the sudden, I couldnt zoom in any longer. If I did, I was given a NO Data error. I could only zoom to the 2 or 3rd level, no farther than that. I uninstalled it shortly there after. I have no tolerance for applications that dont work.

when I called cingular and got my APN settings they told me the wrong settings... you might want to look into it

so what were the wrong ones they gave you and what was the right ones?

they gave me a IP addy for my APN

but it was suppose to be wap.cingular

sorry your APN settings should be

APN:wap.cingular
username:WAP@<hidden>
password:CINGULAR1

No I have those correct. Any ideas what else to try?
