Hey! I've got a 7130c and have been noticing that whenever I lose signal strength or happen to go into an area where 'EDGE' service is not available, my phone will drop to 'edge' but sometimes will not jump back to 'EDGE' unless I turn wireless off and back on. I'm wondering if this is a Cingular problem or a phone problem?

Thanks!

p.s. I'm in Los Angeles.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Mine goes back to EDGE on its own. Possibly. Device problem. I'm in south Florida.

I have experienced the same problem. Sometimes I have to remove the battery.

if I travel to a different city then I always do two continuous Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot it for good and that way it picks up the latest and best signal otherwise it could drain the battery really fast.

Lowercase "edge" means your BB is not connected with the BB server to get emails and such. When it goes to uppercase "EDGE", your device has checked in with BB and downloaded your emails if you have any.
