i'm new to the blackberry and thought this was kinda weird? i've done a search with no definative answer? I wanted to know why does my email show up in my e-mail box as well as my sms message box? Does it count as an incoming sms message?

Hi, I don't believe there's an option to separate email messages from sms messages in the sms box. I think there are threads on this if you do a search. However, email messages are NOT sms messages. SMS messages are when someone sends you a message from their phone number to your phone number. Those cost extra, unless you have a plan. With TM it's 10 cents a message I believe.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Email does not count as an sms but they do get grouped together in your messages area. They are distinguished by different icons, an sms icon is smaller.

ok so here is a question similar to this. I know with motoroal phones you can do this, but if someone sends you an sms via email, insated of typingin the phone number you enter in an email address, does it count as a text/sms or is it considered an email off your data plan? get it?
