View Full Version : 8700g email editing question

I just got my new 8700g yesterday, and have run into a small email annoyance.

My old 7730 had right and left arrows over the "O" and "P" that allowed me to scroll through a line of an email I was typing - enabling me to edit something in mid-sentence.

The 8700g doesn't seem to have these buttons. I can use the trackwheel to get to the beginning or end of any line in the email I'm writing, but from there there's no way to get to the middle -at least that I can find.

Any way to enable this feature? I feel like that's a big feature to leave off, so maybe I'm just missing something. Any suggestions appreciated.

(Oh, and is there a way to customize what icons appear on the "desktop"?)

hold down the ALT key and scroll away!

yes, the Alt key plus the scroll wheel is left/right scroll, while the scroll wheel alone is up/down.. cool in Google maps. (google.com/gmm)

Please check the FAQ, too. There's a TON of info like this in there. Welcome to the forum.
