View Full Version : 7280 Cingular cannot get digital signal

I've read through your older posts so I'll try to be informative and brief in my question.
I have a former AT&T 7280 that was unlocked and works with my Cingular Wireless service. Phone and PDA function correctly.
I do not have a BES plan. But did purchase Cingular MediaNet package.
I've tried all the different TCP>APS settings listed in this forum and no luck.
The only clue I have is "lower case" gprs signal is showing. That means it's trying for a connection??? I've tried sending "Host Routing Table" and that doesn't work.
The geniuses at the Cingular store are of no help.
Any help would be appreciated...I want to keep up with the Carolina Panthers this weekend while working.

you need to get a BlackBerry data plan to be able to browse (i.e. get GPRS)

Thanks for the info and quick reply. BES is a bit expensive for me to use as a toy. But, I love the PDA application with this phone. I was able to transfer my outlook information over with no problem.
This is a great forum, lots of good information.
