I had my 8700g for little more than a month.. and yea I fell in love with it. But today when I was looking at my wallpapers, I noticed a dead pixel. It's not really bothering me or anything, but I called tmobile about this issue hoping that they can replace it. But they told me that it's normal for an LCD screen to have at least one dead pixel (which I don't agree), and they said that if the pixel gets bigger or something, then I can call them so I can get it replace. Do you guys agree with this guy? or should I call them again and ask for a replacement? What do you guys think? Thanks!

it isn't abnormal for LCD screens to develop dead pixels. Not usually in the first few months though.

I know most laptop manufacturers for instance do not warranty the laptop LCD screen for bad pixels if there are fewer than "X" number of pixels dead.

"X" depends on the manufacturer.

Good luck. (y)

No way, that's unacceptable. There's no way you should have to put up with a dead pixel. I've had twenty three cell phones since my first Nokia 6120 and not a single one had a dead pixel. I would hound them for weeks until they replaced it. I'd bet money that they'd eventually replace it.
