I dropped my 8700c into a mud puddle about a month back and they don't respond too well to that, I suppose.
In a continuing effort to be different, I order an 8700G unlocked off of eBay and have spent a good part of the day getting it back up and running the way it used to. The only thing is, none of the ring tones work! This is an 8700g from 02 in Ireland, but even when I go to download new tunes, it's not playing anything.

Help. I like the different shape of the g and the fact that it's unlocked, but no tones/tunes/ringers/speakerphone just stinks.

Help.

If there's a problem with the speakerphone then the particular 8700g that you bought is defective. Ringtones and speakerphone both use the same speaker on the back of the 8700.

FUN!

Have any of you taken these phones apart? I have the 8700c still here with a functioning speaker, is it possible to swap?
