Hello,

I am a new user of black berry. I lost phone option in blackberry meaning I can't make phone calls in and out. Can anyone help also how can I remove entries from my address book not one by one..all at one time ?

Thanks

did you turn off your wireless by accident? check the "wireless" icon, if it says "turn wireless on", then that means it's off.

Sarwat - is this a new BlackBerry? If it was previously owned, it may have an IT Policy on it disabling the phone.

You can see if the icon was hidden by press ALT and click the trackwheel on the home screen. Then select "Show All".

Make sure it is not hidden.

To erase all customer data (but not the programs) go into Settings / Options / Security Options / General Settings
Click the wheel and select "Wipe Handheld"

I made sure it is not hidden by hiding one and show all back on. I could see the icon I hide but the phone one didn't come back..still not visiable

Don't know what model you have, but, if you press the send key, do you not get a screen to dial a number? Also, can you select a contact and then press the thumbwheel and choose call?

Download the lastest version of the handheld OS for your BB
Execute the downloaded program
Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your PC C: drive
Restart Desktop Manager
MAKE SURE THE PHONE APPLICATION IS CHECKED OFF WHEN APPLICATION LOADER STARTS

That should do it.
