Battery savings with BT off

What would be the savings of

BT on with no device connected vs. BT off.

What about BT on with device connected vs. BT on w/o connection

I'm assuming from most to least power usage

1) BT on with connection
2) BT on w/o connection
3) BT off

Any thoughts?

I am getting a seat of my pants feels of about 10% battery savings with Bluetooth off. I normally use a motoH700.

So far I haver left BT on and no connection made with earpiece and can't tell any difference in battery life on my 8700

Thats a good thing then..then idling is at very minimal levels..
