I'm thinking about selling my Bell Mobility BlackBerry 7750 on eBay to get a model with Bluetooth support.

I purchased it for the full price without a long term contract.

Will it work on the CDMA networks in the States? Sprint? Any other networks?

Is there something I need to do to ensure that the person who buys this will be able to use it?

thanks,.

Dave.

To my understanding, you can't bring CDMA devices from one carrier to another. (At least, that's the general rule of thumb -- and if you succeed, you're incredibly lucky, since it almost never happens...)

It's a luxury mainly restricted to unlocked GSM phones...

I wish I had found this site before I bought the 7750. It's painfully slow.

Yeah, the 7750 is considered the slowest according to:
BlackBerry Benchmarks (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=4041)

I would say re-eBay it .... Or try posting in your local newsgroup (Perhaps ott.forsale.computing for Ottawa... tor.forsale for Toronto.... try http://groups.google.com and finding a forsale newsgroup for your particular city.) This may mean a quicker local sale at a slightly higher price than eBay because the guy can drive to your house to look at your BlackBerry. This forum also has a "For Sale" forum where you can try to sell your BlackBerry first too as well, before buying a new BlackBerry!
(preferably from one of this site's sponsors, of course. <shameless plug> ;-) )

Then, if you want the best, the current cream-of-the-crop BlackBerries are 7250, 7520, 7290 and 7100 (the Bluetoothed 32 megabyte models).

I've eBay'ed it. Hopefully someone will buy it and I can be a proud 7250 owner soon!!
