7100g 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade

I visited these forums a cppl of weeks ago and found an indept article on how to upgrade my blackberry 7100g (4.0). It told of how I should delete a vendor file or something like that and download a cppl of things. The problem is where is that manual??? any help or where I can find an "upgrade manual for dummies?"

If your installing the Cingular handheld software you don't need to delete the vendor.xml file. Simply install the desktop software to your PC. When done, connect your BlackBerry and launch application loader. Follow the prompts as with any typical application install.
