IT Policy Problems..

Hi all, I'm new to all this lovely BES & Blackberry so you'll have to be patient with me!

I have been creating an IT policy to stop our users from accessing the internet. when I save the IT Policy and exit, it works fine when I apply it to a select group of users, then when I go back into the policy it has in Device Only Items - Minimum Password Length set to 859321144 characters, it then prompts the users to change there passwords and won't accept any password less than the amount above (which I haven't tested but assume)

We are running Lotus Domino and BES 4.0.0.18

Any help would be great...

This sounds familiar and I did a lookup. It is a known issue for prior version of BES Domino SP1.

Previously, in certain circumstances, if you set password enforcement policy rules, and then made changes to other policy rules (for example, Allow Phone), the changes did not save. If the policy rule included a defined value (for example, Minimum Password Length), the value was replaced with a large random number.

Upgrade your BES to the latest SP5.
