BB 8700 with Motorola H700 Bluetooth

Just purchased the Motorola H700 headset to use with my BB 8700. When a call comes in the headset does not ring, beep etc.

All my other headsets offer that feature, and according to the Motorola H700 manual this should offer the feature as well.

Is there a setting I need to adjust ?

Not trying to be a smartypants, but I'm assuming you have the boom mic opened when you say it's not ringing? Mine will ring when the mic is opened, but won't ring if it's closed. I don't think it's supposed to ring if it's closed (powered off).

I have the same one, it rings for me...if the boom is open, I would delete the headset from your blackberry and re-discover it.

What ring do you get in the ear piece ?

Hmmm...under options->bluetooth, click on your headset, click on trackwheel and select Device Properties. Under services does it list it as a Hands-Free Unit & Headset?

My ring is just a very subtle tone that you can only hear if it's actually on your ear. It also blinks when it's ringing.

Did you try deleting and re-discovering?

I have deleted it many times and tried to re-pair.....

Wow, me too. Well, for what it's worth...The ring is barely audible, so you're not missing out on much. It doesn't make the difference on whether I hear an incoming call or not. It basically sounds like the tone you hear for call waiting...
